The Commission was created as a means of addressing the gaps and shortfalls of postwar compensation programs of the 1950s and 1960s and was intended to provide an opportunity for thousands of Holocaust survivors and their heirs to submit claims for the first time.
Restitution of Jewish Rights and Property

This page includes information for Holocaust survivors from Eastern Europe, as a result of cooperation between the Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and Minister of Justice who decided to work towards the restitution of property of Jews from the states of Eastern Europe, after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
