| Preparatory courses for higher education – Mechinot |
A Mechina (plural: Mechinot) is a one-year pre-academic program for immigrant students, held at most of Israel’s universities and designed to orientate the students to Israel’s university environment and study methods, as well as preparing them for university entry exams.

| Assistance to university students |
The Student Authority at the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption offers a diversity of services for students, including counseling and financial assistance through grants, loans and scholarships.
