New Phone Hotline for Tourists

New Phone Hotline for Tourists The Ministry of Tourism will operate the TourPhone service 24 hours a day to provide tourists with immediate answers and up-to-date information.

The new TourPhone hotline can be reached by dialing *3888 from any land or portable phone in Israel. It will be manned by representatives of the Ministry of Tourism stationed at the tourism bureau at Ben-Gurion Airport, who will assist solving any problems tourists might encounter online. Calls that will require further assistance will be directed to the relevant agencies.

Currently the TourPhone representatives will be able to assist in questions regarding the Israel police, the Ministry of the Interior, Airport policies, Ministry of Tourism basket of services. The Ministry hopes that within the next few months the TourPhone service will be expanded to provide additional services.

Tourists will be notified of this new service as soon as they land in Israel. A leaflet in English and French with details about the TourPhone will be attached to each stamped passport at the airport passport control. Leaflets will also await the tourists at the airport's arrival hall and at the tourist information centers.
